Back to your original post, I bet the RV dealer was buying the tires at the tire dealer in town at the local tire dealer's wholesale and trying to make over 100% markup on them. There is NOTHING that you can make that kind of % on except the 10 cent stuff that is actually just done as customer convenience. I bet they are working on some formula that fits with the markup needed on motorhome custom fitted repair parts.
When we are quiet where I work the pricing tends to get a little more liberal if customers request it. I can say we are not cheap but we try so hard to be nice and to be perfect that we have a very high percentage of repeat customers.

Hey, you can reduce the amount of weight distribution to allow the tongue to drop a little, that raises the TT back end. Try adding one or two more links into tension, then when the tongue is a little lower you might be able to sneak up that slope without a lot of drama. Of course you can't completely remove the WD or the tongue will probably drag...

If it has nice new wiring the surge protector recommendation might be due to electrical environment in the area, or, on advice of the lawyers. But pre-dumping sounds kind of odd, what is with that?

I am a tire guy. We see low pressure each fall and winter for that very reason. Industry wisdom says you lose approximately 1 lb for each 10 degree drop in temperature. And most tires (not inflated with nitrogen) lose around a pound a month.

What about finding a loaded version of your truck which has the memory seats and then inspecting them using Alldata or Mitchell 1 (aftermarket diag software) to determine what parts are needed.
Or...What about see the chiropractor! What about get a back support from the back store. Or switch your truck for a King Ranch with all the bells and whistles.
Whew, that's a tough one.

You could disconnect the power so nobody can prank you. Then you'd know if it was a sinker. If it does sink and it's new ask for a warranty replacement. Sinking is not part of the design.

To top off battery you use distilled water, and only fill it enough to cover the plates. If you fill so high the tubes bottoms are wet that's not OK.

And by the way, that is a perfectly good vehicle. The 4.9 is a nice torquey engine and wel suited to your use.
Does your steering box have play? That can give you wandering even with good tire wear and nice cornering. Is your van a conversiontype? If so is it heavy? Is it heavier than the GVWR on the door placard? Overweight vehicles won't handle well. Also, since you said the problem is both with and without the trailer I didn't ask this, but do you have your trailer weight distribution dialed in? I am assuming you do.

I am a tire store assistant manager at a company in Metro Boston. In the early 90's we did a lot of I-Beam bends to correct camber as I recall, but I don't think it adjusts caster. If you have a printout from you last alignment and can scan it into the system you can get some good help from various people in this forum. Caster is the value you really want to key in on for directional stability. When it is correct the steering wheel returns to straight ahead and the vehicle tends to go straight.
I'd find someone who is really proud of his alignment skills and has been at it for many years. Let that person check for ball joints, bushings, everything. If it has been that way for years there has to be something loose or crooked.
I've seen complaints like yours resolved by control arm bushings, aftermarket stabilizer bars and steering dampers and just plain dogged determination to find what's not up to spec.

With Hydraulic brakes you can change the cap when the brakes are not in use. If you used the brakes while the cap was off or fluid was low, you should bleed them because that is how air gets down into the system. Bleeding is how the air is purged and fluid is replaced. Bleeding is wise every few years even when all is well.
If you experience fade your brakes may be failing to release, or overheating from some other extended use. This is what happens when the brakes become so hot that they boil the brake fluid. In a car it feels like a soft brake pedal and no stopping power, the brake force fades away. It is rare nowadays. In a camper you might see smoke by the wheels and feel heat near them, if you suspect they are hot don't feel the wheels directly, you could receive contact burns.
Good Luck, you are wise to deal with this right away, brakes are very important.

If your truck came with trailer tow package as mine did you can find the truck end of that connector just under the left dash. I remember installing a relay as well, I believe that is for the battery charge line. I'll look at the paperwork in the AM and repost. In my 05 the relay and pigtail came in the glove box from the factory. I added an extra ground to the battery this year because of weak brakes, that made a ton of difference in braking power. Before the ground I was near maximum power on my controller, and not getting great stops. Now it stops great.

That really stinks! I'd document the cracking and contact both the TT manufacturer and the tire manufacturer. Take whatever they will give, but think about removing those tires. Even if they don't pay you might be avoiding further problems that would cost way more than tires.

I have same ratios. My 5900 lb trailer has 480 lbs on the tongue. So I load more weight in front of the TT axle, and I carry tools in my front compartment. Plus I do not put weight in the rear compartment. Those steps and a Reese Dual Cam HP have tamed a previously wild beast.

If you are like most people you'll nvere run them far enough to need rotating. Rotation is to equalize uneven tread wear and get all the miles from the tires. Trailer tires rarely/never wear out they just get old and dry out.

I apologize, but I under rated the tire. I am at work on break now and a new catalog came acros the desk. 185R14 C's by Kumho can handle 1874 lbs at 65 PSI. So you are definitely OK. Good Luck.
